Roselle
Roselle, based on Lenape Land in New York City, is a storyteller at heart and a human first. Raised by the chief of her Tribe, mother Alma Gordon, Roselle learned the importance of one's voice at a young age - using her own as a tribute to her late mother and to seek justice and landback for her ancestors whose homeland is Martha's Vineyard Island.
This March her creative journey took a new turn with the release of her first mix, adding a fresh layer to her storytelling - weaving together personal experiences with the influence of her Afro-Indigenous heritage. Offline, she focuses on securing reparations and recognition for her ancestors through her work on the Chappaquiddick Wampanoag Tribal Council. Her and her efforts have been covered by Essence, The Los Angeles Times, and The Boston Globe.
